Category Buyer – IT Services :
The Category Buyer – IT Services supports day‑to‑day sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities for assigned IT categories. This role focuses on transactional procurement execution, supplier coordination, data analysis, and contract administration, while supporting Category Leaders and Category Managers on strategic sourcing initiatives.
The Category Buyer plays an important role in ensuring compliant, timely, and cost‑effective procurement of IT goods and services while building foundational category and supplier knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute sourcing and purchasing activities in line with established category strategies and procurement policies

Support RFP/RFQ processes by preparing documentation, gathering requirements, and coordinating supplier responses

Issue purchase orders, support contract activation, and ensure compliance with negotiated terms

Maintain accurate pricing, supplier information, and contract data in procurement systems

Support supplier performance tracking, reporting, and issue resolution

Analyze spend, pricing, and supplier data to identify savings, compliance, or consolidation opportunities

Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements related to IT services, software, hardware, or subscriptions

Assist in supplier onboarding, documentation, and risk/compliance activities

Monitor market benchmarking and supplier pricing trends within assigned categories

Ensure procurement activities support budget, service, and delivery expectations
Basic Requirements:

2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations

Exposure to indirect procurement and/or IT categories is preferred

Basic understanding of sourcing processes, contracts, and supplier management
-
Proficiency in Excel and procurement or ERP systems
-
Ability to work effectively in a structured, process‑driven environment

Willingness to learn, develop category knowledge, and grow into more strategic roles
Bonus:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related discipline

Experience using procurement tools such as Ariba
