Job Job Description: The Wiring Harness Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and maintaining wiring harnesses used in electrical and electronic systems. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of electrical components, and the ability to read technical drawings. Key Responsibilities: Assemble wiring harnesses as per drawings, schematics, and work instructions Perform crimping, soldering, heat shrinking, shielding, and lacing Read and interpret wiring diagrams, BOMs, and layout drawings Conduct continuity and insulation testing of harnesses Detect and rectify defects such as open circuits, shorts, or improper crimps Ensure proper labelling, bundling, and routing of wires Maintain quality standards and follow safety procedures Work with production and QA teams to meet delivery timelines. Document test results and maintain inspection records Key Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of electrical wiring and harness assembly techniques Familiarity with crimping tools, soldering stations, and test equipment Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Basic understanding of connectors, cables, and wire types Qualifications & Experience: ●Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related field ●Experience: Minimum 1–3 years in wiring harness assembly or related field (preferred) ●Experience in automotive, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing ●Familiarity with testing tools like multi-meter, oscilloscope, pull test meter
