Job Description – Tool & Die Maker
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, repair, and maintain tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Operate conventional machine tools such as lathe, milling, surface grinder, drilling, and tool grinding machines.
- Perform die fitting, polishing, and precision finishing.
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged tools and dies to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect finished tools using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of tooling and equipment.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
Requirements:
- ITI/Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Machinist, or a related trade.
- Minimum 0–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry (preferred).
- Good knowledge of tool room machines and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in press tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and mold maintenance.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
