We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive GeM Portal Tender Executive to manage our
end-to-end B2B procurement and bidding processes on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM)
platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience navigating the GeM portal,
managing catalogs, preparing technical documents, and executing competitive bids. This role
acts as a critical link in driving B2B sales growth through government and institutional contracts.
Key Responsibilities
● Tender Identification & Tracking: Search and identify relevant government bids, custom
bids, BOQ bids, and Reverse Auctions (RA) on the GeM portal daily.
● Bid Preparation & Submission: Compile, verify, and upload accurate technical and
financial documents to submit error-free proposals within strict deadlines.
● Catalog Management: Create, update, and manage product/service listings, categories,
and pricing on the GeM portal to ensure high visibility and compliance.
● L1 Strategy & Pricing: Analyze market data, competitor pricing, and tender
specifications to optimize our quotations for L1 (Lowest Bidder) positioning.
● Compliance Management: Ensure strict adherence to tender requirements, Additional
Terms and Conditions (ATC), and overall government procurement guidelines.
● Order & EMD Management: Process Earnest Money Deposits (EMD) and ePBG, track
order fulfillment, coordinate with the dispatch team, and ensure timely delivery milestones.
● Stakeholder Coordination: Follow up on submitted bids, resolve client queries, and
collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to gather the necessary bid
inputs.
Qualifications & Skills
● Experience: 6 months to 1 year of direct, hands-on experience operating the GeM portal
and handling B2B tender submissions.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, IT, or a related
discipline.
● Technical Proficiency: Strong command of MS Excel (for data tracking and pricing
analysis) and PDF/document management tools.
● Core Competencies: Sharp attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the
ability to handle multiple tender deadlines simultaneously.
● GeM Expertise: Thorough understanding of GeM portal rules, OEM panel operations,
brand approval processes, and catalog cloning.
