About Katalist Group
Katalist Group is a diversified group with business interests spanning digital, technology, D2C, healthtech, and agriculture. We're a lean, founder-led organisation where the finance and investment function works directly across all group businesses rather than being siloed within one.
About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, organised Executive Associate to join the Finance/Investment team and drive fundraising efforts across the group — from investor research to first outreach to deck and model support. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants hands-on exposure to how real fundraises get built and run, working directly with the founder and across multiple businesses rather than a single vertical.
You won't just be doing research — you'll be sending the first email, tracking the reply, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks across a live pipeline of investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and build structured lists of angel investors, accelerator programs, government funding schemes, and VCs relevant to each business's sector and stage
- Draft and send initial outreach emails (from the founder's email ID) to shortlisted investors and programs
- Maintain a live fundraising tracker — outreach status, responses, next steps, deadlines
- Own follow-up cadence so no lead goes cold; flag stalled conversations proactively
- Support pitch deck creation — narrative structure, content drafts, and design coordination
- Assist in building and updating financial models (unit economics, projections, cap table scenarios)
- Coordinate with investment banking partners, advisors, and consultants on process and documentation
- Prepare briefing notes ahead of investor calls/meetings and track action items after
- Work across the group's different businesses as fundraising priorities shift between them
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, VC/PE, startup fundraising, financial research, or a related analytical role
- Strong written communication — you'll be drafting emails that represent the founder directly
- Working comfort with financial models and pitch decks (built one before, or can learn fast)
- Excellent organisational skills — this role lives and dies by the tracker
- Self-starter who follows up without being reminded and treats a "no reply" as a task, not a dead end
- Comfortable moving across different businesses and sectors, not just one vertical
- Discretion — you'll have access to sensitive financial and strategic information across the group
Good to Have
- Prior exposure to a startup fundraise, accelerator program, or investor-facing role
- Familiarity with financial modelling tools (Excel/Google Sheets) and deck tools (PowerPoint/Google Slides/Canva)
- Interest in working across a multi-sector group rather than a single-business environment
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
