About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the school. The ideal candidate should have experience in educational institution accounting, maintain accurate financial records, ensure statutory compliance, and support financial reporting and budgeting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
- M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts, preferably in a school or educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, formulas).
- Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of banking and reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain books of accounts.
- Handle school fee accounting, receipts, refunds, and reconciliation.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and monitor daily banking transactions.
- Process vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and petty cash transactions.
- Maintain purchase, sales, and expense records with proper documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure timely statutory compliance, including TDS, GST (where applicable), and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation records.
- Verify invoices, bills, and supporting documents before processing payments.
- Support payroll accounting and salary reconciliation.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.
- Coordinate with various departments for financial documentation and reporting.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the Accounts Incharge.
