Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Land Manager to handle all land acquisition, documentation, and liaison activities for utility-scale and ground-mount solar projects across Maharashtra. The role demands strong knowledge of land records, revenue department processes, and local government engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Land Acquisition & Due Diligence
•
Identify and evaluate land parcels suitable for solar projects based on technical and commercial criteria
•
Conduct due diligence on land title, encumbrances, litigation history, and revenue records (7/12, 8A, mutation entries)
•
Coordinate land surveys, demarcation, and boundary verification with revenue officials
•
Negotiate land lease/purchase agreements with landowners and aggregators
Documentation & Legal Compliance
•
Prepare and execute lease deeds, sale agreements, power of attorney, and consent letters
•
Ensure all land documents are registered and compliant with Maharashtra Revenue and land laws
•
Manage land conversion (NA order) and change of use permissions
•
Maintain a centralised land records repository for all projects
Government & Stakeholder Liaison
•
Interface with Talathi, Circle Officer, Sub-Registrar, Tehsildar, and Collector offices for approvals
•
Coordinate with MEDA, MSEDCL, and nodal agencies for land-related clearances
•
Manage relationships with local panchayats, gram sabhas, and community stakeholders
•
Handle NOC collection from adjoining landowners and local bodies
Project Coordination
•
Coordinate with design, execution, and legal teams to ensure land availability aligned with project timelines
•
Support EPC handover process with clear land demarcation and access road agreements
•
Track and resolve encroachments, disputes, or objections during construction
Required Skills & Competencies
•
Strong knowledge of Maharashtra land revenue system — 7/12, 8A, mutation, NA conversion
•
Familiarity with PM-KUSUM, MSKVY, and other state solar scheme land requirements
•
Proficiency in reading survey maps, cadastral maps, and GIS-based land layouts
•
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
•
Fluency in Marathi and Hindi (mandatory); English working knowledge
Candidate Profile

6–10 years in land acquisition for solar, infrastructure, or real estate projects
•
Local network with revenue officials and land aggregators in Maharashtra
•
Willingness to travel extensively across project districts
Pay: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year
