Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machine Operator to operate and manage CNC machinery used for wooden furniture and interior components. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, production accuracy, quality, and maintaining safety standards on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines for cutting, drilling, routing and shaping of wooden/MDF/plywood furniture components.
- Read and understand CNC drawings, cutting layouts and production drawings.
- Load and unload materials properly and ensure correct material positioning.
- Set machine parameters, tools, speeds and feeds as per job requirements.
- Run CNC programs and monitor machine operations during production.
- Check dimensions and quality of finished components using measuring instruments.
- Identify and report machine errors, tool wear and production issues.
- Ensure minimum material wastage and maintain production efficiency.
- Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication and routine maintenance.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Engineers regarding job priorities.
- Ensure proper labeling and movement of completed components to the next process.
- Follow all safety, 5S and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, CNC or related trade preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
- Experience in woodworking / furniture manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC routing, drilling and cutting operations.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programs and machine settings.
- Ability to read technical and production drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring tools such as vernier caliper and measuring tape.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
