Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
- Analyse technical requirements and design effective test scenarios from a customer-centric perspective.
- Design and develop reusable automation framework modules and libraries.
- Perform UI and API automation using modern tools and frameworks.
- Contribute to contract testing activities to validate service interactions and integrations.
- Investigate failures, support debugging, and assist in resolving automation and product issues.
- Prepare estimations and work breakdown for assigned modules and communicate them to the lead.
- Raise technical challenges, dependencies, and risks related to assigned work modules in a timely manner to stakeholders.
- Maintain test documentation, execution evidence, and related quality records.
- Review peer work, including test cases, automation code, and related test artifacts, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Support junior team members through technical guidance, code walkthroughs, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Continuously improve automation practices by applying standards, best practices, and clean coding principles.
- Collaborate with peers, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery across the product lifecycle.
What You Need to Succeed
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices. Experience working in agile environments.
- Experience mentoring or technically supporting team members.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, including OOP concepts, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
- Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
- Proven track record of creating, extending, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in API testing.
- Exposure to or experience in contract testing.
- Experience in GIT, CI/CD pipelines and automation integration into delivery workflows.
- Excellent debugging, analysis, and issue resolution skills.
- Hands-on experience in monitoring test execution, analysing failures, and identifying strategies to reduce or prevent flaky tests.
- Exposure to non-functional testing (NFR), including one or more of the following: performance, reliability, scalability, security, or accessibility testing.
- Strong ability to design maintainable automation solutions and contribute to framework development.
- Strong collaboration, review, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Nice to Have Skills
- Knowledge of Laboratory domain / Automated Chemistry systems.
- Experience with embedded system testing.
- Performance testing tools like K6.
- Exposure to Security testing & tools involved.
- Familiarity in a11y testing.
- Testing and Debugging SignalR applications.
- OPC UA testing.
- Experience using genAI tools for test automation
- ISTQB or similar certification
