Job Description: Context on the BI Team.. The BI Team are currently in the process of migrating their existing reporting and data tools from Snowflake / Tableau over to Google Cloud Platform (Bigquery / Looker). The wider central data team (Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Science, Data Analytics) are working to build a Medallion data architecture and the BI Team will be responsible for building and maintaining the "Gold" Layer and BI Self Serve Tools. What we're looking for... Looker · Understanding of the Looker Semantic Layer and "LookML" · Experience building Models, Explores and Dashboards in Looker · Experience creating Derived Tables within Looker / BigQuery · Experience / Knowledge of "Hub and Spoke" Architecture (desirable) BigQuery (Gold Layer) · Experience querying and building tables using BigQuery · Building data pipelines / scheduling tables them using wider GCP tools (e.g, Dataform) · Understanding of CI/CD processes (desirable) How we work... The BI team work in squads and work in sprints (managed in JIRA) and deploy their work using Github. The BI Team are key conduit into the business running sessions to gather requirements and build solutions for a variety of stakeholders across the business.
