We're looking for a curious and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester who is passionate about building high-quality consumer products and ensuring every feature delivers a seamless user experience.
What You'll Do
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, UI, Exploratory, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
- Validate new features before every release across Web and Mobile applications.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs using Jira.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before production releases.
- Test APIs using Postman wherever required.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries when needed.
- Ensure application quality across different browsers, operating systems, and devices.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, QA reviews, and release sign-offs.
- Suggest improvements to product quality, usability, and testing processes.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation and release reports.
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience creating detailed test cases, checklists, and test reports.
- Hands-on experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke & Sanity Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- UI/UX Testing
- Cross-browser Testing
- Mobile Application Testing
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and Postman.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Good to Have
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience testing social media, messaging, or consumer internet applications.
- Understanding of performance, security, and usability testing.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools.
- Experience testing responsive web applications.
