Duty Medical Officer-Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and qualified Duty Medical Officer to provide immediate medical care, monitor patient conditions, and ensure smooth day-to-day clinical operations. The candidate will be responsible for attending patients, managing emergencies, coordinating with specialists, and maintaining quality patient care during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and assess patients presenting with medical concerns during assigned duty hours.
- Provide immediate treatment and first-line medical care for patients.
- Handle emergency cases and stabilize patients before referral or specialist intervention.
- Monitor admitted patients and track treatment progress regularly.
- Prescribe medications and order necessary diagnostic tests when required.
- Review laboratory reports, scans, and diagnostic results for patient management.
- Coordinate with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare staff for effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and medical documentation.
- Attend inpatient and outpatient medical cases as per operational requirements.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and medical ethics.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide timely clinical decisions.
- Support patient counselling and communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid Medical Council registration/license to practice.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of Experience in hospital, clinic, or healthcare centre preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work in 12pm to 9pm and handle critical situations.
- Knowledge of emergency care and patient monitoring.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Professional and patient-focused approach.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
