Job SummaryWe are seeking a Production Support Engineer to support the Central Data Platform (CDP), a critical enterprise data platform that ingests, transforms, and delivers market, reference, and investment management data to multiple downstream applications and business users.The role involves monitoring data pipelines, troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, supporting user access requests, validating data quality, and collaborating with engineering, data management, and business teams to ensure reliable data delivery.The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and data warehouse concepts, along with a solid understanding of production support processes.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Monitoring & SupportMonitor daily production data pipelines and workflows.Review Airflow job executions, failures, and delays.Monitor support mailboxes, alerts, and data quality notifications.Perform incident triage and impact assessment.Ensure adherence to SLA targets and operational procedures.Incident ManagementInvestigate production incidents and service requests.Perform first-level and detailed root cause analysis (RCA).Coordinate with upstream source teams and downstream consumers.Drive timely issue resolution and stakeholder communication.Support critical production incidents during business hours and on-call rotations.Data Analysis & TroubleshootingAnalyze data quality issues and missing data scenarios.Validate source-to-target data movement using SQL queries.Troubleshoot vendor data ingestion issues.Investigate data discrepancies across Snowflake datasets.Validate data after reruns and issue remediation.DBT Lineage & Dependency AnalysisUtilize DBT documentation and lineage graphs for impact analysis.Trace upstream and downstream dependencies.Identify source systems contributing to incorrect or missing data.Support model reruns and validation activities.Access ManagementSupport Snowflake and application access requests.Assist users with role provisioning and access-related issues.Coordinate approval workflows and follow governance processes.Documentation & Knowledge ManagementDocument incidents, workarounds, and resolution procedures.Create and maintain support runbooks and knowledge articles.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Required SkillsTechnical SkillsStrong SQL querying and troubleshooting skills.Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing.Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.Knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool) concepts and data lineage.Experience analyzing data quality and production support issues.Ability to read and debug SQL-based data transformation logic.Production Support SkillsIncident management and problem-solving.Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Monitoring and alert management.Production deployment validation.ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.Preferred SkillsExperience supporting enterprise data platforms.Knowledge of financial services, investment management, or market data platforms.Exposure to vendor data sources such as FactSet, MSCI, S&P, QAD, or similar datasets.Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.Understanding of data governance and access controls.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to communicate technical issues to business stakeholders.Strong ownership and accountability.Ability to work in a fast-paced production support environment.Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.Key Success IndicatorsTimely resolution of production incidents.High SLA adherence and ticket closure quality.Effective root cause analysis and prevention recommendations.Accurate impact assessment using data lineage and dependencies.Minimal business disruption and improved oper
Key Responsibilities
1. To develop & deliver codes for the project/ work assigned by following established standards of quality and delivery SLA
2. To maintain the existing project by resolving/troubleshooting/debugging issues occurring in the existing project/application.
3. To understand client requirements and accordingly develop code to create required features.
