PLC Operator

Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience: 2–4 Years in PLC-based automation systems
About the Role
As a PLC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring PLC-based automation systems within our feed manufacturing plant. You will ensure the seamless functioning of automated production processes and act as the first line of response for automation-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor PLC-based automation systems controlling feed plant processes
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted functioning of all automated production sequences
- Monitor control panels, HMI screens, and system parameters for any deviations or anomalies
- Identify and troubleshoot minor PLC faults, sensor issues, and relay problems
- Coordinate with the electrical maintenance team for major breakdowns and scheduled downtime
- Maintain accurate daily operational logs, shift reports, and system performance records
- Monitor functioning of motors, sensors, drives, and automated control systems
- Assist in commissioning new equipment and PLC program updates as directed
Required Skills & Competencies
◦ Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
◦ Ability to read and interpret electrical control diagrams and ladder logic
◦ Familiarity with HMI/SCADA interfaces
◦ Strong observational and troubleshooting skills
◦ Basic knowledge of electrical safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
◦ Accurate record-keeping and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
✓ Experience in food, feed, or FMCG manufacturing environments
✓ Exposure to automated batching and ingredient dosing systems
✓ Familiarity with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and servo systems
