Job Summary
The Solar Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the execution of solar EPC projects from project initiation through commissioning and handover. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and client requirements. The Project Coordinator acts as the primary link between clients, internal departments, vendors, site teams, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end execution of rooftop, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar projects.
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, and execution timelines.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Design, Estimation, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Installation teams for timely project execution.
- Ensure all project approvals, permits, and statutory documentation are completed before project commencement.
- Monitor procurement and delivery of materials to project sites.
- Coordinate installation activities with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Track project progress and ensure adherence to project milestones and completion schedules.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients and provide project status updates.
- Coordinate site surveys, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Monitor project costs and support cost control initiatives.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, approvals, inspection reports, and completion records.
- Coordinate with electricity board authorities and other government agencies for approvals, inspections, synchronization, and net-metering processes.
- Resolve project-related issues by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support warranty, service, and post-installation activities as required.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Project Management or Solar Energy is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project execution, or operations within the Solar EPC, Electrical, Construction, or Infrastructure industry.
- Experience in rooftop solar project execution is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and EPC project execution.
- Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Familiarity with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and project documentation.
- Knowledge of net-metering procedures, utility approvals, and statutory compliance is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with MS Project, Primavera, or other project management software is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
