Job Description: Junior Product Manager (Retail Tech SaaS)
Role Overview
We are a premier software solutions provider dedicated to the retail industry. We are seeking a highly proactive, solution-oriented Junior Product Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will act as the operational engine of our product delivery team. You must possess a strong, positive "get-things-done" mindset, using your data analytical skills to keep projects strictly on track, eliminate blockers, and drive team efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
Jira Management & Workflow Ownership
- Maintain Jira: Act as the absolute administrator and owner of all product delivery boards.
- Keep data fresh: Ensure every ticket, status, blocker, and assignee is accurate in real-time.
- Refine backlog: Organize, tag, and structure user stories and bugs for instant execution.
- Translate specs: Convert high-level product requirements into clear, technical Jira tickets.
Team Efficiency & Task Allocation
- Allocate tasks: Assign daily development and QA tasks based on engineer skills and priority.
- Monitor capacity: Track individual developer bandwidth to optimize workload and prevent burnout.
- Analyze efficiency: Track sprint velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle times to find bottlenecks.
- Clear blockers: Proactively resolve operational dependencies to keep engineering moving.
Agile Rituals & Weekly Reporting
- Lead standups: Run the daily engineering standup meeting to align the team on daily goals.
- Weekly reporting: Build and present weekly progress reports for leadership and client stakeholders.
- Support rituals: Facilitate sprint planning, grooming sessions, and team retrospectives.
Data Management & Excel Analytics
- Advanced Excel: Build models, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and pivot tables to track delivery data.
- Analyze metrics: Clean and manipulate raw product, retail, and engineering data manually.
- Data-driven tracking: Use data insights to predict launch delays before they happen.
Requirements & Qualifications

- Background: 1–2 years of experience handling Jira administration, scrum coordination, or PMO tasks.
- Excel mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Data fluency: Strong ability to read, interpret, and present engineering and retail data sets.
- Agile mastery: Strong practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and agile project delivery.
Industry Context
- Industry: Exposure to software development lifecycles, retail operations, or e-commerce platforms.
- Retail tech awareness: Basic understanding of retail data flows, APIs, or inventory logic.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
