Job Title: CSSD Technician
Kannur Medical College, Anjarakandy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CSSD Technician to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper sterilization, disinfection, and management of surgical instruments and medical equipment to maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and packaging of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ETO machines.
- Ensure proper segregation, inspection, assembly, and storage of sterile items.
- Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Follow hospital infection control policies and international sterilization standards.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any malfunction or maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CSSD department.
- Coordinate with OT, wards, and other departments for timely supply of sterile instruments.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Certification in CSSD Technology or related field.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and hospital protocols.
- Experience in handling sterilization equipment and surgical instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
