About the Role
Rinwera Designs is seeking an experienced Fabric Checker to oversee all fabric-related operations at our Bhiwandi manufacturing unit. A Fabric Checker is responsible for inspecting fabrics before they are used in production to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming fabrics for defects such as stains, holes, weaving faults, color variations, and printing errors.
Check fabric quality, texture, GSM (weight), width, and shrinkage according to specifications.
Verify color matching and dye consistency, especially for ethnic wear fabrics like silk, cotton, georgette, chiffon, velvet, and brocade.
Measure fabric length and maintain inspection records.
Segregate defective fabric and report issues to the quality control or production team.
Coordinate with suppliers, stores, and production departments to resolve fabric-related quality concerns.
Monitor fabric handling and storage to prevent damage and contamination.
Support efforts to minimize fabric rejection, wastage, and production delays.
Ensure fabrics meet company standards before cutting and stitching.
Required Skills
Knowledge of different fabric types used in ethnic wear.
Strong knowledge of ethnic-wear fabrics such as cotton silk, rayon, chiffon, georgette,
velvet, brocade and jacquard.
Ability to identify weaving, dyeing, printing, embroidery and embellishment defects.
Understanding of fabric defects and quality parameters.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
Ability to work with measuring and inspection tools.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
