Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Automation Sales Engineer to drive sales of automation solutions by combining technical expertise with strong commercial skills. The role involves understanding customer requirements, designing suitable automation solutions, and
supporting the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in automation solutions
- Understand customer needs and propose appropriate automation products/services
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and cost estimates
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to design solutions
- Support customers through the sales cycle (pre-sales to post-sales)
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and key accounts
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs
- Attend trade shows, site visits, and client meetings as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related)
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in automation/technical sales
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, DCS, robotics, or industrial automation systems
- Ability to understand technical requirements of clients and suggest the most suitable solution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
