Job Summary:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Social Studies Teacher to teach History, Geography, Civics, and Environmental Studies in accordance with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum. The candidate should be able to make concepts interesting, interactive, and relevant to real life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons (History, Geography, Civics, EVS)
- Follow CBSE curriculum and academic guidelines
- Use interactive teaching methods (maps, activities, discussions, projects)
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments
- Encourage critical thinking and awareness of current affairs
- Conduct regular tests, assignments, and evaluations
- Maintain student records and academic progress reports
- Prepare students for exams and school assessments
- Organize activities like quizzes, exhibitions, and projects
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in History / Geography / Political Science / Social Studies
- B.Ed (mandatory for CBSE schools)
- CTET/TET qualified (preferred)
- 1–3 years of teaching experience (preferred)
