Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Pricing & Operations professional to manage Air and Ocean Freight activities. The role will involve freight rate procurement, quotation preparation, vendor coordination, customer coordination, shipment monitoring, and operational support.
The position level will be aligned with the candidate's experience and relevant expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pricing and operational activities for Air and Ocean Freight shipments.
- Obtain freight rates from airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents, NVOCCs, and other logistics service providers.
- Prepare accurate and competitive freight quotations based on customer requirements.
- Negotiate freight rates, local charges, and commercial terms with service providers.
- Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, CHA, transporters, and internal teams.
- Monitor shipment schedules, cargo movement, cut-off dates, and documentation timelines.
- Coordinate with operations teams to support timely and smooth shipment execution.
- Maintain updated freight rates, vendor tariffs, and pricing records.
- Monitor freight charges, surcharges, local charges, and other applicable costs.
- Handle customer queries related to quotations, rates, shipment status, and operational matters.
- Prepare and verify relevant import/export and shipping documentation.
- Follow up with service providers to resolve shipment delays and operational issues.
- Ensure quotations and pricing are commercially appropriate and aligned with customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate pricing and operational records.
- Prepare reports related to pricing and operations as required.
- Follow established company processes and applicable logistics documentation requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, International Trade, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or NVOCC.
- Hands-on experience in Air & Ocean Freight Pricing and Operations.
- Experience in obtaining freight rates and preparing customer quotations.
- Good understanding of freight forwarding and import/export documentation.
- Experience in vendor coordination and rate negotiation.
- Good customer handling and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
