As a Senior Data Analyst, measurement, you will be the analytical engine behind our commercial performance tracking. Serving within the Global Verticals Marketing team, you will act as the primary point of contact for querying, analysing, and synthesizing FedEx internal transactional and customer data. Your mission is to convert complex datasets into clear, actionable vertical performance narratives that guide business planning.
In this role, you will build executive-ready reports, conduct ad-hoc analyses, and provide data-driven insights that directly support marketing, commercial strategy, and forecasting functions. Your work will directly influence how senior leadership understands vertical health, product performance, and regional business dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
Vertical Performance
- Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries against FedEx enterprise data warehouses to extract performance metrics across priority industry verticals (e.g., E-commerce, Healthcare, Aerospace, Technology).
- Monitor and analyse key commercial indicators, including volume, revenue, and yield, with a specific focus on identifying regional / lane / product level insights.
- Investigate regional and product-level performance variations, isolating root causes of growth or decline and translating findings into structured data briefs.
- Build, maintain, and automate interactive performance dashboards and scorecards to track commercial performance, vertical health, and pipeline health.
Executive & Leadership Reporting
- Synthesize complex performance datasets into high-impact, visual, and narrative-driven reports for leadership and executive-level business updates (e.g., CEO updates and strategic reviews).
- Translate analytical findings into concise executive takeaways, ensuring executive communications clearly explain the past performance, present status, and future outlook.
- Deliver regular monthly and quarterly performance updates, highlighting competitive risks, commercial opportunities, and customer journey trends.
Strategic & Forecasting Support
- Partner with forecasting, strategy, finance, and marketing functions to model commercial funnels, market demand shifts, and historical volume trends.
- Apply statistical techniques and behavioural segmentation models to track, isolate, and forecast changes in specific customer cohorts and industry verticals.
- Conduct rapid-response, ad-hoc deep dives to answer critical, time-sensitive business questions posed by leadership.
- Provide data backing and baseline historical trends to support annual commercial strategic planning and commercial goal setting.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Background
- 6-10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, sales analytics, or financial/commercial measurement roles.
- Proven experience querying large-scale, complex relational databases to extract commercial, transactional, and customer-level insights.
- Demonstrated track record of preparing executive-calibre presentations, briefs, and reports based on complex data analysis.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional, global stakeholders across various time zones.

Professional Expertise & Technical Skills

Analytics & BI: High proficiency in SQL (required) and experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, or BigQuery).

Applied Business Statistics: Practical knowledge of statistical methods to perform cohort analysis, customer segmentation, and behavioural pattern recognition to discover performance anomalies.

Business AI & Machine Learning Application: Understanding of how to leverage predictive models, clustering algorithms (e.g., for cohort refinement), and NLP/text mining to automate industry vertical tracking, spot micro-trends, and optimize customer group definitions.

Data Visualization: Proficiency in building dashboards in Power BI or similar BI tools

Programming & Automation: Comfortable using Python or R for statistical modelling, data manipulation, and analytical process automation is a must.

Productivity & Reporting: Expert-level skills in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (to draft polished, executive-ready presentations).
Sector Familiarity: Prior experience analysing commercial performance within B2B verticals (e.g., Retail/E-commerce, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Industrial, Technology) is highly valued.
- Exposure to CRM/sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce)
Certifications (nice to have)
- CFA, FRM, PMP, Six Sigma (or equivalent).
