Position Overview
The Operations & Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring SAF India operates efficiently, consistently, and with excellence.
This role leads organizational planning, operational systems, accountability, reporting, and continuous improvement across all departments. Rather than managing day-to-day tasks directly, the role builds systems that help every department succeed.
This position works closely with the CEO and the trustees and serves as the operational backbone of SAF India.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Review and improve operational workflows across all programs
- Identify inefficiencies, risks, and gaps affecting program delivery
- Resolve cross-department operational issues
Program Operations Support
- Work alongside program teams to understand operational challenges
- Recommend improvements to aid delivery, resource use, coordination, and reporting
- Support implementation of approved operational improvements
Staff Structure & Accountability
- Review staff structures, roles, and reporting lines
- Recommend role clarity and workflow improvements
- Strengthen coordination between office and field teams
SOPs & Documentation
- Lead development and implementation of SOPs for operations, HR, finance coordination, and compliance
- Ensure SOPs are practical, culturally appropriate, and followed
Communication, Compliance & Coordination
- Strengthen internal communication and reporting systems
- Support compliance processes (FCRA, statutory filings, audits)
- Improve coordination between finance, administration, and programs
Leadership & Values
- Lead with humility, integrity, and service-oriented leadership
- Ensure operational decisions reflect SAF’s faith-based values
Required Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Able to lead through systems rather than micromanagement.
- Comfortable analyzing reports and data.

- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Faith & Lifestyle Requirements (Mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of Sikhi and Sikh Rehat Maryada
- Lifestyle aligned with Sikh values
- No consumption of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicants
Location & Relocation
- Based in Ludhiana, Punjab with travel to program sites as necessary.
- Housing provided for suitable candidates relocating from outside Ludhiana (family relocation supported)

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
