About the Role
We are looking for an experienced legal professional/academic to conduct practical training in Legal Research Skills for law students at our academy.
Topics to be covered:
- Legal research methodology
- SCC Online and Manupatra
- HeinOnline and LexisNexis
- Boolean and advanced search techniques
- Finding and analysing Supreme Court & High Court judgments
- Case-law research and precedent analysis
- Statutory and regulatory research
- Preparing case briefs and legal research memoranda
- Citation and legal writing
- Research paper writing and competitions
Preferred Candidate:
- LL.M. / LL.B. with strong legal research experience
- Law professor/assistant professor, practising advocate, legal researcher, or experienced legal academic
- Practical experience with SCC Online and Manupatra preferred
- Teaching/training experience preferred
- Strong understanding of Indian case law and jurisprudence
Engagement: Part-time / Guest Faculty / Course-based
Location: Chennai / Online
Duration: [e.g., 10–15 hours / 4–6 weeks]
Compensation: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
