Who we are looking for:
ACV is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for Capital products that enable dealer financing, floorplan management, and related financial workflows across the ACV platform.
This role is focused on building and operating reliable, scalable software solutions that support critical business capabilities for dealers, lenders, and internal operations teams. The successful candidate will be a strong people leader who can drive execution, foster collaboration across Engineering, Product, Operations, and business stakeholders, and help teams deliver high-quality solutions in a predictable and sustainable manner.
We are looking for a manager who excels at developing engineers, establishing clear priorities, and creating an environment of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Experience working on financial systems, transactional platforms, lending products, or other business-critical applications is highly desirable.
What you will do:
- Lead and develop a team of software engineers responsible for Capital products and services.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Operations, Risk, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve the dealer financing experience.
- Drive predictable execution against team commitments, balancing delivery, quality, and operational excellence.
- Establish clear priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Monitor and improve key engineering and business metrics related to system reliability, delivery performance, and customer outcomes.
- Ensure software solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with ACV engineering standards.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support production operations, incident management, and root cause analysis to ensure platform stability and reliability.
- Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks and proactively drive mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders across ACV to improve development practices, operational processes, and platform capabilities.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop engineers while supporting career growth and performance management.
- Facilitate effective communication across engineering, product, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Oversee successful implementation and integration of software solutions across internal and external systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of engineering management experience leading software development teams.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and delivering production software.
- Demonstrated success leading teams responsible for business-critical applications and services.
- Experience partnering effectively with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing priorities, execution, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Understanding of modern software development practices, cloud-based architectures, and operational excellence principles.
- Experience in financial services, lending, payments, fintech, or highly regulated domains is a plus.
- Proven ability to coach and develop engineers while building high-performing teams.
