Azure Data Architect

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.

Develop and manage data integration pipelines leveraging Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Event Hubs for batch and streaming ingestion.

Architect and optimize data processing frameworks with Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Stream Analytics to support advanced analytics and real-time insights.

Establish and enforce data governance policies using Microsoft Purview, ensuring compliance, lineage tracking, and metadata management.

Implement security and identity controls through Azure Active Directory, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Azure Key Vault.

Enable business intelligence and reporting with Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, and Synapse for enterprise-wide dashboards and analytics.

Drive performance optimization and scalability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Autoscale features to ensure high availability and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with organizational goals, leveraging Azure-native services for innovation and cost efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:

8-12 years of proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud solution design with a focus on Azure services.

Strong expertise in Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Data Lake Storage for structured and unstructured data management.

Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Event Hubs for ETL/ELT and real-time ingestion.

Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Stream Analytics for big data and advanced analytics workloads.

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools such as Microsoft Purview, with emphasis on compliance and metadata management.

Familiarity with identity and security management using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Key Vault.

Strong skills in business intelligence and visualization using Power BI and Azure Analysis Services.

Experience with monitoring and optimization tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Advisor.

Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, scalability, and cost optimization strategies in Azure.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across technical and business teams.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
