Video Editor – Job Description
Role Overview
A Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded footage into polished, engaging video content that aligns with brand goals and storytelling objectives. This role involves editing raw video, adding effects, sound, graphics, and ensuring high-quality final output for digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into high-quality final videos
- Trim, cut, and arrange video sequences effectively
- Add transitions, motion graphics, text overlays, subtitles, and visual effects
- Sync audio, background music, voiceovers, and sound effects
- Perform color correction and color grading for professional output
- Create engaging content for social media, YouTube, advertisements, reels, and promotional videos
- Collaborate with content creators, marketing teams, and videographers
- Ensure videos meet brand guidelines and project deadlines
- Manage and organize video files, assets, and project backups
- Stay updated with editing trends, platform formats, and creative techniques
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
- Knowledge of motion graphics, audio editing, and color grading
- Basic understanding of camera formats, codecs, and exporting settings
- Creativity with attention to detail
- Time management and ability to handle multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Media, Film Production, Visual Communication, or related field
- Experience in social media content editing and short-form video creation
- Knowledge of thumbnail design or graphic design is a plus
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
