We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, and result-oriented English Lecturer to teach Pre-University Course (PUC) and Undergraduate (Degree) students. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering critical thinking, and enhancing students’ communication and literary skills. The role demands a commitment to academic excellence, student engagement, and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures in English Language and Literature for PUC and Degree classes.
- Teach core areas such as grammar, prose, poetry, drama, and communication skills.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, including digital tools, presentations, and interactive learning techniques.
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with institutional and board/university curriculum standards.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Develop assignments, question papers, and evaluation criteria.
- Conduct regular assessments, internal exams, and semester-end evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to improve academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and academic progress.
Student Development & Mentoring
- Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.
- Identify slow learners and provide remedial support.
- Encourage participation in debates, seminars, literary clubs, and extracurricular activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and academic reviews.
- Assist in organizing academic events such as workshops, seminars, and cultural/literary programs.
- Contribute to institutional development initiatives and accreditation processes.
- Adhere to institutional policies, discipline, and code of conduct.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with current trends in English studies and teaching methodologies.
- Participate in faculty development programs, training sessions, and workshops.
- Engage in research activities and contribute to publications (preferred).
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree in English (M.A. in English) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in School, PUC or Degree institutions.
- Immediate Joiners are preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to simplify complex literary concepts for diverse learners.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools (MS PowerPoint, LMS platforms, etc.).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
