Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve welding procedures for manufacturing and construction projects.
- Select appropriate welding methods, materials, and equipment based on project needs.
- Ensure compliance with welding codes, standards (such as AWS, ASME, ISO), and safety regulations.
- Conduct welding inspections, testing, and quality control measures.
- Troubleshoot welding defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to enhance weld performance.
- Train and guide welders on best practices and new welding technologies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, ).
- Proficiency in welding inspection techniques (NDT methods like ultrasonic, radiographic, and dye penetrant testing).
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering drawings.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to address welding-related challenges.
- Certifications such as Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) are a plus.
