Key Responsibilities of an Electrician in a Retail Store
- Electrical Maintenance
- Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
- Lighting Systems
- Install, repair, and replace indoor and outdoor lighting.
- Ensure display, signage, emergency, and decorative lighting functions properly.
- Upgrade lighting systems for energy efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Diagnose electrical faults and power failures.
- Repair defective switches, sockets, breakers, and wiring.
- Respond quickly to electrical emergencies.
- Equipment Support
- Maintain electrical connections for cash registers, POS systems, refrigerators, freezers, escalators, elevators, and other store equipment.
- Ensure backup power systems operate correctly.
- Safety Compliance
- Follow electrical safety standards and local regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify hazards.
- Maintain proper grounding and protection systems.
- Installation Work
- Install new electrical circuits, outlets, and equipment as required.
- Support store renovations, expansions, and layout changes.
- Energy Management
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving measures.
- Assist in reducing electricity costs through efficient system operation.
- Emergency Systems Maintenance
- Test and maintain emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and backup generators.
- Ensure emergency electrical systems are operational at all times.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain maintenance records and inspection reports.
- Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordination with Store Operations
- Schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption to customers and staff.
- Coordinate with contractors, facility managers, and store management when required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
