OTC Billing Manager (India) – UK & US Customers
Role Summary
The OTC Billing Manager will lead the end-to-end billing function for UK and US
entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant invoicing aligned with contractual
terms and revenue recognition policies. The role will drive billing excellence, process
standardization, and automation, while partnering with global stakeholders to improve
billing quality, reduce disputes, and accelerate cash realization.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Billing Operations
- Manage the complete billing lifecycle:
o Billing set-up and contract interpretation
o Invoice generation (recurring, milestone-based, T&M, and ad-hoc billing)
o Billing validation and approval workflows
o Invoice dispatch and customer communication
- Ensure invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with contractual and regulatory
requirements
2. Billing Accuracy & Revenue Assurance
- Ensure alignment of billing with:
o Customer contracts and pricing terms
o Revenue recognition policies (ASC 606 / IFRS equivalent)
- Perform pre-billing validations and post-billing reconciliations
3. Dispute & Exception Management
- Lead resolution of billing disputes and discrepancies:
o Pricing mismatches
o Contract misinterpretations
o Documentation gaps
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Customers to resolve issues
- Track root causes and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence
4. Controls, Compliance & SOX Governance
- Ensure robust internal controls over billing processes:
o Segregation of duties (SoD)
o Audit trails and documentation retention
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring no control deficiencies
- Enforce compliance with company policies and audit requirements
5. Stakeholder Management (UK & US)
- Act as primary contact for billing-related matters for:
o UK & US Finance teams
o Sales, Commercial, and Customer Success teams
- Provide visibility on billing status, issues, and risks
6. Process Transformation & Automation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives:
o Billing automation and system enhancements
o Standardization of billing processes across regions
o Reduction in manual interventions and errors

7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and report key billing KPIs:
o Billing cycle time
o Invoice accuracy / first-pass yield
o Number and aging of billing disputes
o Revenue leakage / missed billing
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvement
8. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage a team of billing analysts/executives
- Define clear roles, SLAs, and performance metrics
- Coach team on billing accuracy, customer communication, and compliance
- Build capability in contract interpretation and system expertise

Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- CA / MBA Finance
- 8–10+ years of experience in OTC / Billing / AR operations
- Experience managing global billing operations (US & UK markets preferred)
