Job Title: Corporate Trainer – Jewellery & Diamond Industry
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Corporate Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs for both new hires and existing employees. This role requires someone who can simplify complex concepts, build engaging learning experiences, and ensure employees develop the knowledge and skills required to perform at a high level.
Candidates with prior experience in the jewellery, diamond, gemstones, or luxury retail industry will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Onboarding
- Conduct comprehensive induction and onboarding programs for new employees.
- Develop role-specific training plans for different departments.
- Ensure new hires are fully equipped with product knowledge, company policies, systems, and processes.
- Evaluate onboarding effectiveness through assessments and practical exercises.
Employee Development
- Conduct regular refresher training sessions for existing employees.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
- Develop coaching plans to improve employee performance.
- Conduct workshops on customer service, communication, sales excellence, objection handling, and operational processes.
Product Knowledge Training
- Deliver in-depth training on:
- Lab-grown diamonds
- Natural diamonds
- Diamond grading (4Cs)
- Gemstones
- Jewellery categories
- Certifications
- Industry terminology
- Keep training material updated with the latest industry trends and product launches.
Training Content Development
- Create engaging training modules, presentations, SOPs, manuals, quizzes, and assessments.
- Develop e-learning content and interactive learning materials.
- Maintain an organized training repository.
Performance Evaluation
- Conduct knowledge assessments and certification tests.
- Track employee learning progress and training completion.
- Measure training effectiveness using performance metrics and feedback.
- Share regular training reports with management.
Continuous Improvement
- Gather feedback from employees and managers to improve training programs.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate them into training.
- Support managers with coaching and performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Training, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in Learning & Development, Corporate Training, or Sales Training.
- Prior experience in the Jewellery, Diamond, Gemstone, Luxury Retail, or Fine Jewellery industry is highly preferred.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience creating training content and learning materials.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
