Senior Accountant – Nagpur

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Experience: 3–6 years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial records, statutory compliance, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles and hands-on experience with Tally/ERP, GST, TDS, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and accounting records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance and ensure timely filing.
- Perform bank, ledger, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Verify invoices, bills, expenses, and supporting documents.
- Prepare cash-flow statements and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
- Track outstanding receivables and payables and follow up for timely settlements.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Assist management with financial analysis and accounting-related decision-making.
- Support internal and statutory audits and provide required schedules and documents.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and GST/TDS compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime / ERP software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas and reporting.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of statutory accounting requirements.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification preferred.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with experience in construction, infrastructure, road works, manufacturing, or project-based companies will be preferred.
