Tranzit InterCity is seeking an experienced and professional Coach Driver to join our Tauranga-based team, operating North Island long-haul services.
This role operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster and includes one overnight stay during each four-day cycle. Additional charter work may also be available through the wider Tranzit Group for the right candidate.
The ideal applicant will have experience operating large vehicles, as this role involves driving rear-steer Class 4 coaches, including double-deckers, and possess a strong customer focus with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. You will become part of a close-knit team of professional drivers committed to delivering a safe, reliable, and enjoyable travel experience for our customers.
You will take pride in your vehicle and be responsible for ensuring it remains service-ready through daily inspections, defect reporting, refuelling, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. The role also involves assisting passengers with luggage and providing a consistently positive customer experience throughout their journey.
To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit and capable of safely handling passenger luggage of up to 25kg, demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, and have the maturity and initiative required to work independently while representing the InterCity brand.
A background in customer service and long-distance driving will be highly regarded.
