Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the complete assembly operations, manpower, production targets, quality, safety, and smooth execution of daily assembly activities as per customer and company requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Assembly
- Plan and execute daily assembly production as per production schedules.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor assembly line productivity, cycle time, rejection, and downtime.
- Ensure proper work instructions and standard operating procedures are followed.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and PPC teams.
- Ensure smooth flow of components and materials to the assembly line.
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
Manpower Management
- Plan manpower allocation based on production requirements.
- Monitor operator performance, attendance, and discipline.
- Provide guidance and training to Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operators.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower.
- Handle shift-related issues and ensure proper shift handover.
Quality
- Ensure assembly operations are carried out according to quality standards.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and customer-related quality issues.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper inspection and testing at required stages.
Safety & 5S
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain 5S standards across the assembly area.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
- Promote safe working practices among employees.
Reporting
- Prepare and review daily production and assembly reports.
- Monitor production achievement, rejection, rework, and downtime.
- Report major production and quality issues to management.
- Maintain required production and process records.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and manpower handling skills.
- Good knowledge of assembly processes and production operations.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, basic quality tools, and production KPIs.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle production pressure.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing or related discipline.
- Experience: 5–8 years in Assembly / Production, preferably in Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing.
- Plastic injection moulding industry experience preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
