About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mobile Application Developer with 3 to 4 years of hands-on expertise to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in scaling the CityBees ecosystem—designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, secure, and user-friendly mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and product stakeholders, with opportunities to travel to our headquarters in Sharjah, UAE, to align on digital transformation strategies and core business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: Design, build, and deploy advanced, scalable features for the CityBees platform on Android and iOS using modern frameworks.
- UI/UX Implementation: Collaborate with design teams to translate wireframes and high-fidelity mockups into responsive, high-performance mobile interfaces.
- API & System Integration: Smoothly integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, payment gateways, and cloud-based proptech solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance, ensuring maximum speed, reliability, and security for our community users.
- App Store Management: Handle the complete deployment process, publishing and maintaining applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews and implementing unit testing.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with the UAE headquarters and travel to Sharjah when required to support integration, planning, and deployment phases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications (BCA), Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience: 3–4 years of proven experience in professional mobile app development.
- Frameworks & Languages: Strong proficiency in Flutter or React Native, as well as experience with native languages like Kotlin/Java (Android) and Swift (iOS).
- Backend & Cloud: Solid experience with Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Authentication) and push notifications.
- Architecture & State Management: Deep understanding of mobile application architecture patterns and state management solutions.
- Tools & Methodologies: Proficient with Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Soft Skills & Additional Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication to collaborate effectively across distributed international teams.
- Mobility: Must hold a valid passport and be flexible to travel to Sharjah, UAE, as needed based on business requirements.
