* Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety
* NEBOSH IGC/IDIP or equivalent certification (Preferred)
* OSHA Certification
* First Aid & Fire Safety Certification
* ISO 45001 Lead/Internal Auditor Certification (Preferred)

# Job Purpose
The Safety Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system across all interior fit-out projects. The role ensures full compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards while promoting a proactive safety culture and achieving zero lost-time incidents.

# Key Responsibilities
## 1. HSE Management
* Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific HSE plans.
* Ensure compliance with national safety regulations, local authority requirements, and client HSE standards.
* Lead the implementation of the company's HSE Management System across all projects.
* Drive the company's Zero Accident and Zero Harm initiatives.
## 2. Project Safety Planning
* Prepare Project HSE Plans before project commencement.
* Review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Identify hazards and recommend suitable control measures.
* Ensure all work activities are executed safely.
## 3. Site Safety Monitoring
* Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
* Monitor compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
* Ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel.
* Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards across all project sites.
## 4. Interior Fit-Out Safety Management
Monitor safety during:
* Ceiling installation
* Gypsum partition works
* Joinery and carpentry works
* Stone and tile installation
* Painting and polishing works
* Glass installation
* Furniture installation
* Electrical works
* HVAC works
* Plumbing works
* Fire protection system installation
* Working at height
* Hot work activities
* Material handling and lifting operations
* Temporary electrical systems
## 5. Legal Compliance
* Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and safety regulations.
* Coordinate inspections with government authorities when required.
* Maintain statutory safety records and documentation.
* Ensure validity of licenses, permits, and mandatory certifications.
## 6. Incident Management
* Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
* Implement preventive and corrective actions.
* Maintain incident registers and safety statistics.
* Submit incident reports to management and clients.
## 7. Client & Consultant Coordination
* Represent the company during client HSE meetings.
* Coordinate with consultants and principal contractors on safety matters.
* Participate in safety walkthroughs and audits.
* Ensure timely closure of client observations.
## 8. Safety Training
* Conduct induction training for all employees and subcontractors.
* Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
* Train supervisors on hazard identification and emergency response.
* Conduct mock drills for fire, evacuation, and emergency preparedness.
## 9. Subcontractor Safety Management
* Evaluate subcontractors' HSE competency.
* Monitor subcontractor safety performance.
* Ensure subcontractors comply with company HSE procedures.
* Conduct periodic HSE performance reviews.
## 10. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain:
* HSE Plan
* Risk Assessments
* Method Statements
* Daily Safety Reports
* Weekly HSE Reports
* Monthly Safety Reports
* Safety Observation Reports
* Incident Investigation Reports
* Corrective Action Reports
* Safety Statistics Dashboard

## 11. Emergency Preparedness
* Develop Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
* Coordinate fire safety and evacuation procedures.
* Ensure emergency equipment is available and inspected.
* Conduct periodic emergency drills.
## 12. HSE Audits
* Conduct internal HSE audits.
* Coordinate external and client audits.
* Ensure timely closure of audit findings.
* Drive continual improvement in HSE performance.
## 13. Leadership & Team Management
* Lead and mentor HSE Engineers, Officers, Supervisors, and Marshals.
* Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.
* Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

# Expected Outcome
