An Interior Project Manager oversees projects from conception to completion, ensuring design integrity, budget adherence, and timely execution. They act as the liaison between clients, designers, and contractors, managing site visits, material procurement, and scheduling to deliver high-quality, finished spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all project phases from initial design concepts and planning through final execution, installation, and handover.
Client Communication: Act as the primary contact, understanding client needs, managing expectations, and providing progress reports.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop detailed project budgets, track expenditures, and approve vendor invoices.
Scheduling & Coordination: Create project schedules, coordinate teams (designers, contractors, suppliers), and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Site Management: Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety codes.
Procurement & Vendor Management: Source, order, and track materials, furniture, and fixtures, ensuring they are defect-free.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in managing interior design, fit-out, or construction projects (2-3 years typically required).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, design software, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction technology, materials, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
