Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate civil works including excavation, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, flooring, and finishing activities.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications; ensure work is executed as per approved designs.
- Plan daily/weekly work schedules and allocate manpower, tools, and materials accordingly.
- Supervise labor gangs, subcontractors, and skilled/unskilled workers; monitor productivity and quality of work.
- Ensure availability of materials at the site and coordinate with the store/procurement team for timely supply.
- Conduct quality checks at each stage of construction and report deviations to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Maintain daily progress reports, labor attendance, and material consumption records.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, PPE usage, and site safety protocols (HSE).
- Coordinate with surveyors for setting out levels, alignments, and grades.
- Identify potential delays or issues and proactively report/resolve them.
- Liaise with other trade foremen (electrical, plumbing, MEP) to ensure coordinated execution.
- Train and guide junior workers/helpers on proper work methods.
- Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.
Key Requirements
Education:
- Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering (Degree preferred but not mandatory)
Experience:
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in civil construction supervision (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and best practices
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Basic knowledge of surveying instruments (Total Station, Auto Level)
- Team leadership and manpower management skills
- Good communication skills (spoken and written)
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of safety standards and site regulations
- Basic computer skills (reporting, MS Excel/Word) preferred
Working Conditions
- Primarily site-based; requires physical presence at construction sites
- May involve extended hours, outdoor exposure, and physical activity
- Adherence to safety gear and site protocols mandatory
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
