ob Summary
The Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the manufacturing plant. The role involves maintaining accounting records, processing transactions, assisting with statutory compliance, inventory accounting, vendor payments, and supporting monthly financial reporting. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a basic understanding of manufacturing accounting processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in ERP/accounting software.
- Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and contra entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, and general ledger balances.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Verify purchase invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt notes.
- Prepare customer invoices and track collections.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and coordinate with relevant departments.
Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting
- Assist in recording raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods transactions.
- Support inventory reconciliation between physical stock and system records.
- Coordinate with stores and production teams for stock verification.
- Help monitor material consumption and inventory variances.
Taxation & Compliance
- Assist in GST accounting, reconciliations, and return preparation.
- Support TDS calculations, deductions, and filings.
- Maintain records required for statutory audits and compliance.
- Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare routine MIS reports and financial summaries.
- Support cost tracking and manufacturing expense analysis.
- Assist in budget monitoring and variance reporting.
- Provide financial data and schedules as required by management.
Audit Support
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documents and explanations.
- Maintain audit-ready records and supporting documentation.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
