Position: Structural Design Engineer – AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor
Location: Coimbatore and Hyderabad
Role Overview
Structural Engineer will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of HVAC equipment & Infrastructure. The role involves frame analysis, connection design, and load-bearing validation using industry-standard tools. The engineer will ensure all designs comply with applicable structural steel standards and regional building codes across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse structural components for HVAC product & infrastructure including raised access floor systems, structural ceiling grids, containment systems, and liquid cooling support structures (manifolds, brackets, frames).
- Perform structural calculations for static and dynamic loading, including point load, uniformly distributed load, seismic, and fatigue considerations for raised floor pedestals, stringers, and panels.
- Carry out load-bearing capacity analysis and deflection checks for structural ceiling grids supporting suspended high loads.
- Develop and validate structural design of steel frames, brackets, and support structures for containment systems and liquid cooling manifolds.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of structural assemblies for manufacturing and field installation.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and coordinate design inputs with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
- Application of Design Codes & Load Standards - AISC 360 / Eurocode 3 (EN 1993)
- Usage of Piping / Manifold-Related Standards - ASME B31.3, Process piping code
- Support new product development and design-for-manufacturing initiatives for floor, ceiling, and containment product lines.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable structural steel standards, regional building codes, and internal QA requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation – design calculation reports, structural drawings, specification sheets – for client and internal review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve structural design issues during execution.
- Participate in design reviews, root-cause investigations for structural failures/non-conformances, and continuous improvement of design standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Master’s degree preferably ME/MS in Structural Engineering
- 8 to 10 Yrs of experience in Structural design for HVAC equipment.

- Strong knowledge of structural design codes and engineering standards.
- Experience in power generation plants, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and piping drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
