Job Title: Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET)

Role Summary
To provide a structured induction and development program for fresh Mechanical or Civil Engineering graduates, building the technical, safety, and operational competencies required to support offshore construction, fabrication, and installation activities within the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineering & Technical Support
Assist senior engineers in reviewing fabrication drawings, structural/mechanical specifications, and technical documentation for offshore platforms, pipelines, subsea structures, or marine vessels.
Support engineering calculations, material take-offs (MTO), and technical queries under supervision.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID studies, and constructability assessments as part of the learning process.
Site & Fabrication Yard Exposure
Rotate through fabrication yards, offshore installation sites, and marine spreads to gain hands-on exposure to construction sequencing, welding/fabrication processes, and heavy lift operations.
Support QA/QC teams during inspection, NDT witnessing, and material verification processes.
Assist with monitoring project progress against schedule and reporting deviations.
HSE Integration
Learn and strictly adhere to offshore HSE standards, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) processes.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency response drills as part of offshore competency-building.
Support incident/near-miss reporting and root-cause learning under guidance.
Project Coordination
Assist project engineers with progress tracking, documentation control, and coordination between fabrication, marine, and installation teams.
Support preparation of technical reports, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
Liaise with QA/QC, HSE, procurement, and project controls teams to understand end-to-end offshore project execution.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.E./ B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
Skills & Competencies
Strong fundamentals in structural analysis, mechanical systems, or marine/offshore engineering principles (as applicable).
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro/SACS (Civil/Structural) or relevant mechanical design software; exposure to Primavera/MS Project is a plus.
Willingness to work offshore, including rotational shifts once operationally deployed.
Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in physically demanding, high-risk environments.
Good communication skills and ability to work within multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to relocate/travel to yards, ports, and offshore installation sites as required.
