Job Summary
looking for an experienced Manager – Fertilizer Procurement to lead domestic and international sourcing of fertilizer and agri-input products. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in procurement, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and international sourcing, particularly from South East Asian markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of fertilizer and agri-input products including Urea, DAP, MAP, MOP, SOP, Rock Phosphate, Ammonium Sulphate, Micronutrients, and Specialty Fertilizers.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships across India and South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, etc.).
- Source and onboard new suppliers while ensuring cost-effective and uninterrupted procurement.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, shipment schedules, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor fertilizer market trends, pricing movements, and supply-demand dynamics.
- Coordinate with logistics, EXIM, CHA, warehouse, and operations teams for timely imports and deliveries.
- Manage import procurement, shipment tracking, customs documentation, and supply chain execution.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Fertilizer Procurement, Agro Commodities, Agri Inputs, or Commodity Trading.
- Strong experience in international sourcing from South East Asian markets.
- Good understanding of imports, EXIM documentation, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and commercial skills.
- Existing supplier network in the fertilizer/agri-input industry will be an advantage.
