Role – Executive / Senior Executive - HR
Location: Bangalore – Work from Office. (1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays working)

Role Purpose

We are looking for someone who can own payroll, compliance, and people operations with a high degree of accountability. While payroll processing is managed through an external partner, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, employee support, and seamless execution across the employee lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational rigor with employee-centricity and wants to contribute beyond just monthly payroll cycles.
What You'll Own
1. Payroll Operations & Vendor Management (50%)
- Own the monthly payroll cycle in partnership with the external payroll vendor.
- Consolidate and validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave, salary revisions, incentives, reimbursements, new joiners, exits, and deductions.
- Review payroll outputs and ensure accuracy before salary release.
- Coordinate payroll timelines with Finance and payroll partners.
- Manage Full & Final Settlements and exit payroll processes.
- Handle employee payroll-related queries with responsiveness and empathy.
- Generate payroll reports, reconciliations, and monthly payroll MIS.
- Continuously improve payroll processes, controls, and governance.
2. Compliance & ESIC Administration (20%)
- Own end-to-end ESIC administration for eligible employees.
- Support employee registration, record maintenance, corrections, and updates.
- Assist employees in availing ESIC benefits and resolving claim-related issues.
- Coordinate with ESIC authorities, hospitals, consultants, and employees as required.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including: PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Gratuity, Payroll-related tax requirements
- Maintain statutory records, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Support statutory audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
3. People Operations (30%)
- Support employee onboarding and documentation processes.
- Maintain employee records and HRMS data accuracy.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions including confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Prepare employment-related letters and documentation.
- Support HR audits and HR process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with employees and managers to ensure smooth HR operations and query resolution.
What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)
- Payroll is processed accurately and on time every month.
- Employees trust the payroll and compliance processes.
- ESIC and statutory activities are managed without escalations.
- Payroll-related employee queries are resolved effectively and within defined timelines.
- HRMS and employee records are maintained with high accuracy.
- Compliance audits and checks are completed smoothly with minimal observations.
- Payroll and People Operations processes become more streamlined and scalable.
Tools & Skills
- Strong understanding of payroll operations and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ESIC administration.
- Experience working with third-party payroll vendors.
- Familiarity with HRMS platforms (Keka preferred).
- Strong Excel skills including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Data Reconciliation, MIS Reporting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience & Qualification
- Graduate in Commerce, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Payroll, Compliance, and HR Operations.
- Experience managing payroll through an external payroll vendor is preferred.
- Experience supporting a blue-collar and frontline workforce will be an advantage.
- Exposure to Hospitality, Healthcare, Facilities Management, Retail, Staffing, Security Services, or similar industries is preferred.
Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
