Role Overview:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who can lead small, high-caliber teams building AI-driven health platforms, clinician-facing tools, and data-heavy systems with a strong bias for clarity, reliability, and craft.
This role requires someone who is equally comfortable mentoring engineers, shaping technical strategy, and collaborating deeply with Product, Design, and Science. You will not be managing layers , you will be close to the code, close to the product, and close to decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Team & Execution Leadership:
* Lead and grow a team of engineers across backend, frontend, and mobile app.
* Create a culture of ownership, calm execution, and engineering excellence.
* Set clear expectations, unblock teams, and ensure delivery without burnout or chaos.
* Conduct regular 1:1s, feedback cycles, performance reviews, and growth planning.
Technical Leadership:
* Own system architecture decisions for scalable, secure, and reliable health platforms.
* Review designs and code with a high bar for clarity, correctness, and maintainability.
* Balance speed with quality in a regulated, data-sensitive domain.
* Guide architecture and implementation of end-to-end application systems.
Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Partner closely with Product Manager, Designers and other stakeholders.
* Translate ambiguous product and science requirements into clear engineering plans.
* Ensure engineering contributes meaningfully to product discovery, not just delivery.
* Advocate for user experience, system robustness, and long-term product thinking.
Process & Scale:
* Establish lightweight but effective engineering processes (planning, reviews, retros).
* Improve reliability, observability, and deployment confidence as the product scales.
* Prepare the team and systems for future growth without premature over-engineering.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Have:
* 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an engineering leadership role.
* Experience shipping and maintaining production apps used by real users.
* Proven people-management and cross-functional leadership skills.
* Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving product environments.
* Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, data models, Modern frontend frameworks,Mobile app development (native or cross-platform) & cloud infrastructure.
