General Description
We search for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with more than 15 years’ experience in Project Management of Turbo Generators to
be based at our Mandideep location. The Project Manager – Turbo Generators is fully responsible for end-to-end projectexecution of Turbo Generator orders, covering the complete Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle. The role acts as the single point
of responsibility coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, finance, and customer interfaces
to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and compliant project delivery.
JOB RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS
1. Order-to-Cash Project Ownership: Responsible for all internal and external project activities from order receipt until
final cash collection and warranty closure. Ensures contractual, technical, commercial, and delivery commitments are
met.2. Project Initiation & Planning: Conducts Project Kick-off Meetings (KOM) with all internal departments after
management approval.Initiates projects in ASAP and establishes the baseline for scope, schedule, and cost.
3. Engineering & Design Coordination: Ensures engineering deliverables align with contractual and manufacturing needs.
4. Procurement & Vendor Management: Works closely with Procurement for Identification of long-lead items, Purchase
order release and follow-ups, Vendor coordination and expediting, Mitigates supply-chain risks impacting project
timelines.
5. Project Control, Cost & Risk Management: Executes project reviews, monitors progress, and controls deviations.
Responsible for Cost control, Risk analysis, Claim and change-order management, Supports quarterly standard
calculations and margin optimization initiatives.
6. Interface with Sales & Commercial Functions: Acts as an interface between Sales and execution teams for Cost
optimization, Technical clarifications, Change management during execution, Supports sales forecasts and management
reporting.
7. Customer & Technical Interface: Serves as the technical and commercial interface with customers during Project
execution Testing (including FATs), Technical discussions and clarifications, Represents ANDRITZ during customer
inspections and reviews.
8. Manufacturing, Dispatch & Logistics: Coordinates manufacturing progress, packing, and dispatch activities. Oversees
Shipping readiness, Documentation completeness, Compliance with delivery milestones
9. Invoicing, Cash Collection & Warranty
10. Reporting, Audits & Planning
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Education: BE- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: More than 15 years
- Languages: English, Hindi
- Product Know-How of Turbo Generators is a must/conversant with rotating electrical machineries, technical competence, knowhow of basic electrical engineering and rotating machines.
- Mild Travel. (Average 5 to 10 days/ month)
Turbo Generators’ work includes exposure to all aspects of generators: manufacturing, excitation, protection, control systems, and Generator Services. You'll access extensive engineering guidelines, procedures, design instructions, and international & national standards. The job also involves global customer interactions and potential on-site work or reviews in Europe.
