Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Supervise and manage all day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring work proceeds according to the project plan and schedule.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce stringent quality control procedures. Conduct regular inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with architectural drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Quantity Survey & Estimation: Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, estimate material requirements, and manage on-site inventory to prevent wastage and shortages.
- Contractor Management & Billing: Oversee the work of subcontractors, verify measurements of completed work, and certify contractor bills for timely payment processing.
- Technical Coordination: Interpret construction drawings and specifications, resolve any technical issues or discrepancies on-site, and coordinate with architects, consultants, and the project management team.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed site records, including daily progress reports, safety logs, and material reconciliation reports.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize the latest version of AutoCAD to review drawings, make necessary on-site modifications, and ensure accurate execution.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. - Civil) from a reputed and recognized university is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 6-7 years of hands-on experience in site engineering and construction management.
- Technical Skills: In-depth experience in Quality Control (QC) and implementing quality assurance plans.
- Proficiency in Quantity Survey (QS), estimation, and material management.
- Demonstrable experience in contractor bill checking and certification.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of the latest version of AutoCAD.
- Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong understanding of local construction regulations and best practices.
Experience:
- Civil engineering: 6-7 years (Required)
- AutoCAD: 2-3 years (Preferred)
