A Labor Welfare Officer (LWO) managing multiple site locations ensures statutory compliance, health and safety standards, and harmonious industrial relations across field operations. They act as a vital bridge between decentralized site workers, on-ground contractors, and corporate management.
- Conduct regular field visits across assigned locations to inspect basic amenities like canteens, clean drinking water, first-aid, and sanitation.
- Monitor third-party contractors to verify that sub-contracted labor groups receive mandated wages, proper rest intervals, and statutory benefits.
- Track daily site attendance, worker deployment metrics, and shift logs for accurate reporting
- Ensure strict adherence to regional labor statutes such as the Factories Act or Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) / (CLRA) guidelines depending on the industry.
- Maintain and audit statutory registers, accident books, and leave records at each operational site.
- Coordinate closely with local regulatory inspectors during statutory audits or surprise site visits.
- Set up accessible on-site grievance redressal mechanisms and chair worker committee meetings.
- Provide personal or occupational counseling to field workers to resolve interpersonal friction or adjustment issues.
- Facilitate localized toolbox talks, safety briefings, and health awareness campaigns.
- Any HR qualification is required.
- Experience of 5 years is required working in IR and managing all statutory compliance across different states
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
