We are seeking a skilled Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger Design Engineer to join our engineering team, in our organization at Vizag Branch (India). The successful candidate will be responsible for design, analysis, and optimize pressure vessels, heat exchangers including Process Piping for Oil & Gas energy sectors. While ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities include
- Design and analyze pressure vessels and heat exchangers as per ASME Section VIII Division 1 and TEMA guidelines
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD tools.
- Perform stress analysis, and mechanical design evaluations. (Knowledge in thermal design as per HTRI would be an additional advantage)
- Conduct design reviews and ensure code compliance throughout the design cycle.
- Prepare design documentation, calculations sheets, and technical reports as applicable
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and manufacturing teams in Abu Dhabi (UAE)
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement corrective solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with min 5+ year experience, and with maters degree min 3+ years experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1 code requirements
- Solid understanding of TEMA standards for heat exchanger design
- Proficiency with PV Elite software (or equivalent pressure vessel design tools)
- Experience with AutoCAD/ Cad Worx Pipe, or similar CAD platforms would an additional advantage
- Strong technical report writing and documentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities and managing Auto Cad team.
- Experience with API standards (API 650, 579, 682)
- Familiarity with FEA software (ANSYS) would be an additional advantage
- Knowledge of material specifications in accordance with ASME Sec II D & A
