The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all dispatch activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to customers. The role involves managing dispatch documentation, coordinating with transporters, monitoring loading activities, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch Operations
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch activities.
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods as per delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with production, stores, and sales departments to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Verify dispatch quantities, product specifications, and packaging before shipment.
- Monitor loading and unloading operations to prevent damage and ensure safety.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as invoices, packing lists, e-way bills, delivery challans, and transport documents.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and update ERP/software systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and customer requirements.
Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with stores and warehouse personnel for material availability.
- Monitor stock movement and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Conduct periodic verification of dispatched materials against system records.
Transport & Logistics Management
- Coordinate with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Resolve transportation and delivery-related issues promptly.
- Optimize vehicle utilization and dispatch schedules to reduce logistics costs.
Team Management
- Supervise dispatch staff, loaders, and warehouse personnel involved in dispatch activities.
- Allocate work and monitor team performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Train staff on dispatch processes and documentation requirements.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as dispatch accuracy, on-time delivery, and logistics costs.
- Report dispatch-related issues and improvement opportunities to management.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
